The Food Standards Agency’s 7th UK Consumer Attitudes to Food Survey (February 2007) found two-fifths of parents claimed they were making an effort to reduce their children’s consumption of foods containing sugar.

Sugar-filled, high-calorie foods cause tooth decay and are closely linked to many other health issues such as obesity. Despite this, consumers don’t want to give up their favourite delicacies so look to manufacturers to create healthful indulgent products.
